Troubleshooting Guide

This guide contains some possible plugin related issues, and their recommended solutions.

Problems installing the 3D plugin

I can't see the shield icon in the box, or the security bar at the top of the page.
I click Install ActiveX Component but nothing happens.
I click install on the dialog box, but an error occurs.
I've waited a few minutes but the download doesn't start.

Problems viewing the 3D content

I get an error dialog when the page loads.
I only see a black image where the picture is supposed to be.
There is a box with a little red x in it where the picture should be.
Some parts of the image look the same, but some do not.
The picture is similar, but the pictures, colors or patterns are distorted.

Please ensure that you are using Internet Explorer 6 or higher and that the security settings do not prohibit downloading new Active X controls.
Please ensure that you have administrator privileges on the computer you are using.

If the image is very similar but has minor differences, such as rough edges on objects, or slightly different color values, this may indicate that the settings for your video card are different then the one used for taking the originalscreenshot.
