Trouble Shooting

I am having trouble logging in to my account or launching a scene.  I am getting a browser test page indicating I am using Firefox.

If you are using Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you will need to add 3Dream to your compatibility view settings. Here's how.

I am having trouble logging in or launching a scene. The Player Updates page just keeps spinning.

I keep getting asked to DOWNLOAD THE PLUGIN.  I am sure I have done this already.

I am using Internet Explorer.  I know I have downloaded the plugin on to my computer, but I am still being told it is missing. What can I do?


Can I access 3Dream from any computer?

Yes. This is the beauty of working over the internet. You can login to your account from anywhere, as long as you have a good internet connection, and the 3Dream plug-in is installed.

My scene seems to has stopped loading.  What is this DX Studio error that pops up?

Sometimes objects get stuck in the loading box and the scene seems to stop loading.

 

I've waited a few minutes but the download doesnt start

  • Please ensure that you have waited long enough, this process may take a few minutes.
  • Please ensure that you have administrator privliges on the computer you are using.
  • Check your internet connection to ensure that you still are connected to the internet.
  • Check to see if your anti-virus or firewall software is not blocking the installer.
  • Check to make sure that the installer window is not hidden behind another window.

I get an error message when the page loads

  • This may indicate a problem with Windows or Internet Explorer that needs attention before attempting to use 3Dream™.
  • Check to make sure that you are using Internet Explorer 8 or higher and that the security settings do not prohibit using Active X controls.
  • This may indicate that your video card does not meet the minimum requirements for 3Dream™ or is otherwise incompatible. Click Here for a list of the minimum requirements.
  • Please check that you have the latest version of Microsoft DirectX installed. Click Here to visit the download page for DirectX.
  • Please check that you have the latest drivers for your video card. Check the manufacturers website for the latest available software.
  • This may indicate that the required plugin was not properly installed. Please may sure that your internet cache has been cleared and that the components of the plugin have been removed, once this is completed relogin to the site to begin the installer again.
  • Although normally this compent installs with the plugin installer, this may indicate that you do not have the required Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed. Click Here to download and install the framework

I only see a black image where the picture is supposed to be

  • This may indicate that your video card does not meet the minimum requirements of 3Dream™. Click Here for a list of the minimum requirements.
  • Please check that you have the latest drivers for your video card. Check the manufacturers website for the latest available software.
  • Please check that you have the latest version of Microsoft DirectX installed. Click Here to visit the download page for DirectX

The image looks similar but not exactly like the one it is supposed to match

  • This may indicate that your video card does not meet the minimum requirements of 3Dream™. Click Here for a list of the minimum requirements.
  • Please check that you have the latest drivers for your video card. Check the manufacturers website for the latest available software.
  • If the image is very similar but has minor differences, such as rough edges on objects, or slightly different color values, this may indicate that the settings for your video card are different then the one used for taking the orginal screenshot. If you are unsure please email a screen shot of the Internet Explorer window to info@spaceplanning.com

The picture is similar, but the pictures, colors or patterns are distorted

April 13, 2012 -The 3Dream.net home page does not look correct.  The tabs and columns are not lined up correctly and I cannot log-in to my account.

You need to clear the cache in your browser and/or do a page refresh with 'SHIFT + F5'.  This will reload the 3Dream home page to the most recent correct version.
